"Isn't it strange that the commissioner of the NFL inaugurated the Vann Ethics Center? What does football have to do with ethics?"
"Well it's a socialist league"
"What?"
"They revenue-share and stuff."
"So you're equating socialism with ethicality?"
"Yes"
"Socialism never works"

I only laughed. What I should have done is pointed out that the terms of the question did not include reference to "workability" as a metric of success. Not murdering anyone is ethical, but what society has been absent of homicide? If we are going to be speaking of something so nonphysical as ethics, it seems incongruous to exclude a possibility on a physical basis.
